Is this product an essence or a toner?
In the past, Toners were alcohol-based and were used to remove insoluble residues that remained after cleaning the skin with ordinary soap. They were alcohol-based because their function was to further degrease the skin. Fortunately, modern Cleansers rarely contains soap, so there is no need to use an alcohol-based Toners . This gave us an opportunity to create moisturizing Toners enriched with a multitude of beneficial ingredients that soothe and restore the skin's natural barrier after washing. The essences are like watery serums, full of beneficial ingredients. Nectar contains 14 key ingredients with soothing and moisturizing properties.
Should I use this product before or after Exfoliants?
We recommend that you always use Exfoliants on clean, dry skin and then follow up with any additional moisturizer or hydrator. This is because you do not want to upset the acidic pH of the Exfoliants, but also because wet skin acts like a sponge and this can make the scrub more irritating.
Will adding an essence with moisturizing properties be too much for my skin if I already use a moisturizing serum or cream?
Essences are never a necessary step that one must do absolutely every day. They are simply a good addition if you are struggling with dehydration and feel you really need more water content in your skin. Moisturizer-rich essences are wonderful for attracting and binding water to the skin without the weight of a more occlusive product. Oily and combination skin prone to dehydration generally love them.

Why does the skin need an essence rich in skin-like moisturizers (natural moisturizing factors)?
First of all, it is necessary to understand what dehydration is. It is a condition of superficial dryness of the skin due to moisture loss.
After facial cleansing, the skin needs to restore lost moisture because dehydrated skin is more prone to inflammation, irritation and clogged pores. In addition, after cleansing the pH of the skin rises, so it is necessary to restore the optimal pH (5.5) at which we preserve the barrier function.
Skintegra Nectar is the second very important step in the care of all skin types, as it instantly restores lost surface moisture and slows down its evaporation from the skin as much as possible, thus improving the barrier function.
The complex composed of fourteen intensive moisturizers of different molecular sizes is combined with the soothing action of plant components of natural origin. Juicy extracts of aloe vera, ginseng, cucumber and olive leaf are combined with urea, hyaluronic and lactic acid as well as amino acids belonging to the natural moisturizing ingredients.
In addition to moisturizing the skin, more than a regular Toners , Skintegra Nectar reduces the negative effects of hard (usually urban) water. Skintegra Nectar acts as a chelating agent that binds metal ions found in hard water. These metal ions react with the fatty acids in sebum and thereby form an insoluble layer on the skin. The chelating effect of Skintegra Nectar prevents the formation of these insoluble complexes, making the skin smoother and cleaner.
The product is highly tolerable even on the most sensitive skin (dermatologically tested in an extended sensitive skin test). Like the other Skintegra products, Nectar is formulated without the addition of unnecessary irritants and comes in a compact, recyclable spray bottle.
