My skin is very dry, how can I combine Úna with other products?
If your skin is dry and sensitive (in case of atopic skin), we recommend that you try mixing Úna with our squalene booster. Naro. Squalene is a naturally occurring substance. As we age, our own sebum becomes deficient in squalene, so compensating for it could be very beneficial in relieving uncomfortable, tight skin. You can also boost your antioxidant content by placing Spectra under Úna. Spectra is a mild serum emulsion perfect for sensitive skin.
My skin is sensitive to heavy metals in products, can I use Úna?
If your skin is intolerant to heavy metal contamination, Úna could be the right product for you.
Can children use Úna? Could it be a 'universal' moisturizer for the whole family?
Yes. Úna can be used on adult facial skin with atopic tendencies, but because the formula is extremely mild and minimalist, you can use it on the dry facial skin of children older than 4 months.

Skintegra Úna is a neutral universal cream, suitable for dry to very dry, scaly, sensitive and atopic skin, for both children and adults. It is rich in mild emollients (triglycerides and fatty acids that simulate our skin's natural lipid barrier), ceramide precursors (which repair damaged skin barrier function), beta-glucan and panthenol (which soothe inflammation, redness and itching) and canola oil containing balancing omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids.
Úna has been tested in vivo, under the supervision of a dermatologist, on individuals with a history of allergies and diagnosed atopic dermatitis.
In skin with atopic dermatitis (as in skin affected by psoriasis), the hydrolipidic barrier that should preserve the integrity of the skin is significantly compromised and causes the skin surface to become dry, flaky and prone to infection. Ceramides, which are the lipids that healthy skin naturally produces, are an extremely important component of the hydrolipid barrier and atopic patients are severely deficient in this natural skin lubricant.
Úna contains sphingolipids and phospholipids that generate biologically active and significant ceramides, sphingosine (which regulates the skin microbiome, often compromised in case of atopic dermatitis) and intercellular communicators. In this way the skin with damaged hydrolipid barrier fulfills its natural protective function again.
In addition to the ceramide precursors, the second important ingredient is the immunomodulator carboxymethyl beta glucan (beta glucan CM). This is a polysaccharide that serves multiple functions in topical applications:
- regenerates the cells in charge of collagen production,
- promotes proper immune function of skin cells,
- has antioxidant effects and has been proven to repair cell damage caused by UVA radiation,
- in detergent challenge tests shows significant protection of the hydrolipid barrier,
- stimulates wound healing by triggering re-epithelialization, macrophage (leukocyte) mobilization and collagen deposition at the site of skin damage.
The beta-glucan in our universal neutral cream (pH 5.5) is combined with a trio of soothing ingredients, consisting of betaine, panthenol and bisabolol, which reduce inflammatory processes and rapeseed oil, which is a natural source of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids and vitamin E.
Úna has been tested for heavy metals, including nickel. It is suitable for local application to the skin of children over 4 months of age.
Úna is formulated without the addition of parabens, perfumes, alcohol, synthetic colorants, or other irritants and is packaged in a hygienic air-less container. In the case of extremely dry skin, it should be combined with a more nourishing product, such as our Naro.
