- Salicylic acid 2%: An oil-soluble BHA (beta hydroxy acid) that exfoliates the inside of the pore to reduce the duration and spread of breakouts by dissolving dirt, debris and bacteria, as well as reducing inflammation.
- Seboclear™ MP: Created with natural plant extracts, sebocleartm MP works to reduce the repetitive cycle of breakouts and blemishes by controlling the growth of aggravating bacteria in breakout-prone skin.
- Thyme and tea tree extract: Powerful natural antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory agents that help reduce the frequency and severity of outbreaks by combating the spread of bacteria.
- Eucalyptus: Recognized for its antibacterial and antifungal properties, eucalyptus can help natural healing, soothe, reduce inflammation and decongest the skin.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
In the morning or evening, after cleansing, moisten a cotton pad with 5-6 drops of Clear Skin Tonic and spread over the face, neck and décolleté, avoiding the eye and lip area.
Then apply the Alpha-H night serum or moisturizer of your choice at night, or a moisturizer and SPF in the morning.
If your skin is sensitive or unaccustomed to accelerating acids, Clear Skin Tonic should be introduced gradually starting twice a week and increasing daily use if necessary.
It can be used on other areas of the body where breakouts occur, such as the back, neck and décolleté.
We recommend using Clear Skin Tonic in conjunction with the Alpha-H Clear Skin range for best results.

MUCH MORE THAN A LIQUID SCRUB WITH BHA
It is ideal for those who suffer from skin congestion caused by excess sebum and/or bacteria. Clear Skin Tonic with 2% BHA works gently to decongest, refresh and restore the skin's balance without drying or flaking.
While AHAs are water-soluble and excellent for skin where natural cell turnover has slowed (photoaging), BHAs are oil-soluble, perfect for congested skin with excess sebum, enlarged pores, acne and where cell turnover is not necessarily the main problem. Because they are oil soluble they are able to penetrate deep into the pore to cleanse it. However, when used alone, BHAs (salicylic acid) can dry out the skin, further aggravating problems and even causing more acne.
While salicylic acid is the featured ingredient in this formula, it is the high concentration of botanical ingredients that nourish the skin's microbiome and make this formula much more than just a liquid exfoliant with BHA.
Clear Skin Tonic also includes the natural antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties of Tea Tree, Eucalyptus and Thyme, which are heavily featured in the rest of our popular Clear Skin collection.
Licorice adds more anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties to this Toners and has the added benefit of being a melanin inhibitor. As such, it helps reduce the pigmentation that acne can leave long after the swelling, redness and discomfort have subsided.
Cypress, Barley and Solomon's Seal work synergistically as an anti-redness botanical complex, which also helps stimulate circulation and healing in the dermis.
Rounding out this formula are natural chamomile, arnica and cucumber, each of which is well known for its soothing and calming properties in topical applications. Arnica also works to promote healing and strengthen capillary walls.
By harnessing the power of these botanical ingredients to calm and balance the skin's microbiome, while delving deep into pores to remove excess oil and clogs, Clear Skin Tonic supports skin health both on the surface and in depth. As a result, skin is left clean, soothed and velvety smooth with a semi-matte finish.
