INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Apply a generous amount to face, neck, décolleté and hands as the last step in your daily routine. Reapply if necessary.
At night, be sure to double cleanse to avoid leaving residue before applying night care products. It is recommended to use an oil-based cleanser (Atomic), as it quickly dissolves the water-resistant components of sunscreens.
FAQs
FAQs
Do I need a sunscreen if I am not sunbathing?
Sunbathing is an intentional and prolonged exposure to UV rays. The goal is usually to get a tan. Even if you are not intentionally sunbathing, you are likely still exposed to high levels of UV radiation through daily outdoor activities. If your long-term goal is to keep your skin healthy and youthful, you'll want to use a daily SPF product, even if you're not planning a trip to the beach.
What is the difference between UVA and UVB rays?
UVA rays penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin, causing the skin to age prematurely, while UVB rays mainly affect the upper layer of the skin (epidermis), resulting in darkening of the skin. Darkening and thickening of the stratum corneum is actually a defense mechanism of the skin. UVA creates reactive oxygen species and indirectly damages the skin's DNA. UVB is much more direct in its bad effect because our DNA itself absorbs the irradiation. Both types of UV rays are known carcinogens. Irresponsible exposure to the sun can cause skin cancer in some people.
What does SPF30 mean? How much protection am I getting?
If you are applying efficient amounts of your SPF product, SPF30 means that your sun protection will increase 30 times. For example, if you had erythema (sunburn) after 10 minutes of unprotected sun exposure, with an adequate amount of Solar I, this sun-induced erythema would occur after 300 minutes of UV exposure. Note that people rarely apply adequate amounts of SPF, so if you are exposed to the sun during peak hours (11:00 - 16:00), and if you are swimming, sweating, etc., you should reapply your sunscreen, regularly and generously.
Will Solar I clog my pores?
Oh, the dreaded pore clogging. Solar I is formulated as a 100% non-comedogenic fluid suitable for problematic and clog-prone skin, so it should never be the sole reason for clogged pores. However, applying Solar I on skin with heavier makeup and skincare products, or perhaps not removing it effectively at night, could lead to clogged pores. That's why we recommend using an oil-based cleanser like Atomic during your nighttime routine. Sunscreen filters are designed to adhere to the skin, which makes the product better at protecting us from the sun, but it is also difficult to remove completely with water-based Cleansers alone.
Solar I SPF30
Skintegra Solar I protects against skin damage caused by sun exposure, while nourishing, soothing and moisturizing the skin.
Solar I has a pleasant and light fluid texture. It leaves no white residue on the skin, absorbs quickly and leaves the skin soft and velvety.
In formulating the product, we have selected very specific photostable organic filters (non-degradable), which protect against UVA, UVB, infrared (also emitted by electronic devices) and visible light radiation. The 5 state-of-the-art filters, which work together to absorb, scatter and reflect UV rays are: Tinosorb S, Tinosorb M, Uvinul A Plus granular, Uvinul T150 and Eusolex OS.
Together with a combination of carefully selected antioxidants and repair ingredients (green tea, two forms of vitamin E, betaine and panthenol), Solar I contains the maximum recommended dose of ectoin. Ectoin is an extremolyte, a versatile amino acid ideal for the regeneration of sensitive and dehydrated skin.
Skintegra Solar I is a fine emulsion, formulated to provide long-lasting and constant photoprotection, so it should be completely removed from the skin at the end of the day. For normal to oily skin, Solar I can be used as a stand-alone moisturizer that simultaneously protects and nourishes the skin, while for dry and very dry skin, we recommend using Solar I as the last step in the routine.
