FAQS
FAQS
What is collagen?
Collagen is a protein found in the skin and connective tissue. Types I and III of collagen are found in the skin, while type II is found in the connective tissue. Our body produces collagen on its own, but this "internal production" starts to decrease from the age of 20, at first less noticeably, but over the years more and more rapidly - from the age of 40 onwards, by up to 1% per year. The decrease in the level of collagen in the body is manifested externally, especially in the skin: it becomes less flexible, less elastic, loses hydration and wrinkles appear. Collagen can be introduced into the body by eating skin, ligaments or animal bones, but in minimal quantities. It is easier and more advisable to consume it in the form of quality food supplements, most of which contain collagen of animal origin.
Is collagen suitable for vegans?
Products with collagen, both our Valens Kolagen Premium and other products on the market, are unfortunately not suitable for vegans. Collagen is a component found only in animals and humans. Most of the time, collagen is obtained from cow skin or fish. Plant-derived collagen does not exist, but there is an alternative: this vegan collagen, which contains amino acids (building blocks of collagen) of plant origin.
Is Valens Collagen Premium safe to use?
All active ingredients in the product are in doses that are safe for consumption. Coenzyme Q10 and collagen are the body's own components, which means that the body excretes them if consumed in excess. Studies on coenzyme Q10 and collagen were also conducted with much higher doses (Q10 at 150 mg daily, collagen at 10 g daily). Regular consumption is especially important, and the first results will appear after one (for younger people) to three months of use.
How long should Valens Vegan Collagen Booster be taken for?
Collagen is the body's own component, the "production" of which decreases with age, resulting in the first signs of aging. Since the body does not produce enough collagen over the years, it can only be replaced by additional or external supply, e.g. with nutritional supplements. To maintain the improved condition, a constant intake or regular use. However, you can - depending on your own wishes and capabilities - take a break from time to time (e.g. once every 3 months).
What is the difference between Valens Collagen Premium and Valens Vegan Collagen Booster?
Valens Collagen Premium contains Peptan® fish collagen of exceptional quality. The amino acid composition of Peptan® is extremely rich, containing up to 18 different amino acids in exact proportions, which provide the building blocks for collagen formation in the body. Valens Vegan Collagen Booster does not contain collagen, but its basic components: the 6 most important amino acids in the correct proportions.
Valens Vegan Collagen Booster was developed with those people in mind who, for one reason or another, do not wish to consume fish collagen.
At what time of day to take Valens Vegan Collagen Booster - is it necessary to take it on an empty stomach?
You can take the product whenever you want without being tied to meals. The ingredients it contains are well absorbed. Therefore, the time of intake depends on each person and their schedule.
Does Valens Vegan Collagen contain collagen Booster?
There is no such thing as vegan collagen, since collagen is a component of animal origin. Most of the time, collagen is obtained from cow skin or fish. Therefore, no vegan product contains collagen, but ingredients that stimulate collagen synthesis in the body. These include the basic components of collagen, called amino acids, as well as vitamins and minerals, which are involved in the synthesis of collagen and take care of the health of the skin.
What are the advantages of Valens Vegan Collagen Booster over other similar products on the market?
One of the advantages is, of course, in its unique formula. It contains 6 carefully selected amino acids in appropriate proportions or up to 3500 mg of amino acids in the recommended daily dose. An additional advantage is the content of Q10Vital®, a water-soluble coenzyme Q10 developed in Slovenia, which has been clinically proven to have 4 times higher absorption compared to normal Q10, and Ceramosides™, a wheat extract of ceramides. The product is also enriched with other important minerals and vitamins.
A very important advantage of our product is also its liquid form. Most vegan collagen boosters come in capsule form, which can be a problem for those who have trouble swallowing. At Valens we have developed a liquid product with natural carrot and lemon flavoring. In addition, it contains no added sugar and is sweetened exclusively with xylitol, which is also naturally present in fruit.
Is the product also suitable for pregnant women and nursing mothers?
In principle, Valens Vegan Collagen Booster contains no ingredients that pregnant women should not consume - amino acids, ceramides and coenzyme Q10 are the body's own substances, which the body simply excretes when it does not need them (or has too many), while most of the other active ingredients are even more necessary during pregnancy and breastfeeding. There is also evidence of the positive effects of collagen during lactation. Due to the selenium and vitamin A content (which can be harmful in both too high and too low doses), we recommend that you consult a doctor or pharmacist about the consumption of the product.

Vegan Collagen Booster
The Valens Vegan Collagen Booster food supplement is this vegan collagen, whose objective is to stimulate the natural production of collagen in the body and maintain beautiful skin, hair and nails. It contains amino acids that make up collagen in the body, coenzyme Q10 in the form of Q10Vital®, which is clinically proven to contribute to more beautiful skin, and plant ceramides Ceramosides™, which improve skin hydration and elasticity. The product also contains vitamin A and biotin, which contribute to skin health, zinc and selenium, which contribute to the maintenance of healthy nails and hair, and vitamin C, which participates in the production of collagen.
A vegan alternative to collagen
Collagen can only be obtained from animal sources, so vegans are deprived of quality collagen food supplements. Although true vegan collagen does not exist, this name indicates products that can be used to stimulate the body's natural collagen synthesis. To do this, it is necessary to introduce the basic components of collagen: amino acids. Collagen is a large protein chain made up of a total of 18 different amino acids. Compared to collagen, these are much smaller, meaning they are more easily and better absorbed, and therefore deposited where the body needs them most.
To get as close as possible to the composition of collagen, Valens Collagen Booster contains up to 6 amino acids in appropriate proportions, namely glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, glutamic acid, arginine and lysine.
A combination of effective ingredients
As the only vegan product to stimulate collagen synthesis on the Slovenian market, Vegan Collagen Booster contains the 6 most important amino acids that form collagen, that is, a total of no less than 3500 mg. We have also added the clinically proven water-soluble coenzyme Q10 Q10Vital®, Ceramosides™ wheat ceramide extract, vitamins and minerals.
It is clinically proven that the consumption of Ceramosides™ helps improve skin hydration, elasticity and wrinkle reduction. The first effects are visible after 15 days. The effects were demonstrated in a randomized, placebo-controlled clinical study in which 80 people consumed 30 mg of ceramides/day for 15 days.
The consumption of Q10Vital ® has been clinically proven to improve the appearance of the skin, both in terms of firmness and skin microrelief. wrinkle reduction. The effects were demonstrated in a randomized, placebo-controlled clinical study in 33 female volunteers aged between 45 and 60 years.
