HOW TO USE
After cleansing your face, apply a moderate amount of the scrub to your skin, avoiding the eye area. Then continue with your nighttime routine. A temporary tingling sensation is normal, as is temporary redness. This effect will subside within 30 minutes after application of the product. Due to its medium intensity exfoliation effect, Lumion is not recommended for frequent use on extremely sensitive and thin skin, but it is recommended to apply it in moderate and conservative amounts once or twice a week. Also, don't forget to protect your skin with an SPF product during the day. Do not apply Lumion to damaged or compromised skin, or to skin with a vascular defect such as rosacea.
FAQS
FAQS
I already use Clarion, do I need Lumion too?
Compared to Clarion, which acts mainly within the pores and regulates inflammatory irregularities, Lumion is designed for superficial skin problems, mainly imperfections such as depigmentation, and for skin noticing the first signs of aging (tired skin, no healthy color, slightly altered tone, etc.). Skin suffering from chronic abnormalities such as acne and comedones will benefit most from Clarion. Lumion, in turn, prefers normal to dry skin with uneven tone, and skin with first superficial wrinkles and enlarged pores due to collagen breakdown.
Can I use Lumion if I am trying acid for the first time?
As long as you meet all the conditions for using Lumion (you have skin that is not very sensitive, skin that does not have vascular disease such as rosacea and that is not damaged, injured or compromised by previous treatments such as mechanical facial cleansing, laser treatments, etc.), you can use Lumion even if it is your first time using a product with acids. In this case, you will almost certainly have a tingling sensation and transient redness, as this is a medium intensity peel in a very acidic medium. You will see the exceptional effect literally after one use, but remember that in the initial phase Skintegra recommends using Lumion 2 times per week. To reduce the risk of irritation, immediately after Lumion you should not use any products containing irritants (intense perfumes, essential oils and denatured alcohol) or additional products based on active ingredients such as AHA and BHA acids, transretinoic acid or retinol.
Will I experience a purging phase when I start using a scrub?
Unless you have been using acids so far and have areas with irregularities, there is a chance that you will experience a purging phase during the first few weeks after starting a chemical peel (as with Clarion or topical retinoids). If you have recently been using acids or retinoids for at least 6 weeks in a row, it is unlikely that you will experience a purging phase with Lumion.
Can I use Lumion as a Wash-Off product?
Yes, Lumion can be used as a wash-off mask form. This is a good way to introduce exfoliation on skin sensitive to AHA acids. This means applying it to clean skin, leaving it on the face for 5-10 minutes and then rinsing with water before continuing with the rest of the routine to neutralize the acid.
