KEY INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

If your skin is not used to frequent use of hydroxy acids, it is preferable to start using Liquid Gold 2 - 3 times a week in the evenings, and if your skin allows it, you can use it every other night or even every night as an intensive treatment.
Moisten a cotton pad with 5 drops of Liquid Gold and apply to the face, neck and décolleté after cleansing. Leave the solution on for a few minutes and wait before applying the rest of the treatment (serum and moisturizer). Liquid Gold will lower the pH to increase the efficacy and potency of the solution, so serums or moisturizers (with another pH) will alter its efficacy. If you want an intensive treatment, do not apply anything after Liquid Gold, in case your skin is slightly sensitive, or very dry you can apply Alpha-H's preferred moisturizer or serum once the skin is dry to the touch or after a few minutes.
It is normal to experience a tingling sensation for a few minutes after the application of Liquid Gold, which will dissipate after a very short time, leaving a firmer, more vibrant and resilient skin.
The exfoliating effect of glycolic acid makes the skin more sensitive to sunlight, so you should apply a day cream with SPF daily, e.g. Daily Essential Moisturizer SPF50 + or Protection Plus Daily SPF50 + .
*In summary: For an intensive treatment, use it on its own, making the most of the high dose of glycolic acid and its low pH, if you subsequently apply other products you will increase the pH slightly reducing the effectiveness of the glycolic acid, but for very dry, sensitive or dehydrated skin, the subsequent application of serum and night treatment cream will be necessary.

What skin types is Liquid Gold best for?

Liquid Gold is suitable for most skin types. But those with mature, sun-damaged, prematurely aged skin, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation and past acne marks will find Liquid Gold particularly beneficial.

For which skin types is Liquid Gold not suitable?

If you have truly sensitive or rosacea-prone skin, Liquid Gold may be too strong/active for your skin. It is also important to make sure your skin's lipid barrier is intact before you start using an active product like Liquid Gold, otherwise it may further irritate the skin.

Are there any contraindications to using Liquid Gold or other products with active ingredients?

Liquid Gold may not be suitable while taking certain medications, including oral retinoids such as Roacutane and oral steroids. Contact us for advice if you are unsure whether your medication may not be suitable.

Can I use Liquid Gold every night?

We get it... Liquid Gold's results are so good you want them every day! However, we recommend starting to use Liquid Gold every other night if your skin is very sensitive, and if it holds up you can gradually increase the doses until you are using it every other day or even every day.

Why is it better to use Liquid Gold without a moisturizer or serum?

For maximum efficiency and utilization of our cult product, we recommend letting Liquid Gold work overnight unadulterated. Liquid Gold contains 5% glycolic acid in a unique low pH delivery system (2.8 - 3.0), which facilitates deeper penetration of this ingredient into the skin and helps it work faster to dissolve the bonds (desmosomes) that hold dead skin cells together. This process also causes the skin to create more collagen and hyaluronic acid. Applying serum or moisturizer after using Liquid Gold inhibits the penetration of glycolic acid by altering the carefully formulated low pH.

How long should I wait to see visible results with Liquid Gold?

Many Liquid Gold users report a difference the next morning after the first application of Liquid Gold, commenting that their skin is soft, smooth and glowing. However, results may vary depending on age, skin type and concern. While Liquid Gold's results can be seen quickly, use over a long period of time will achieve the best results.
